The European Conference on Aging – ECONAG 2006 joint meeting with LINKAGE http://www.econag2006.com will be held in Innsbruck on the 27 – 30 November 2006. The conference is focused on latest advencements in GENOMIC DISCOVERY and BIOGERONTOLOGY. The panel of speakers includes 35 renowned experts (list of speakers and chairs see below) representing 12 nations from Europe, Canada and USA.
Scientific topics are
- GENOMICS and PROTEOMICS of AGING
- LESSONS FROM MODEL ORGANISMS
- AGE-ASSOCIATED DYSFUNCTION and DISEASES
- OXIDATIVE STRESS and AGING
- TRANSLATIONAL RESEARCH
(By “translational research” I am pretty sure they mean “research related to making biogerontological findings more clinically/pharmaceutically/commercially relevant” rather than “research related to the conversion of mRNA into protein.” There will also be a special breakout session on WRITING IN ALL CAPITAL LETTERS.)
