Here in the States, it’s Labor Day, when we celebrate the movement that brought us the 40-hour work week (and the weekend!) by avoiding work, and by and grilling anything that will hold still long enough to get threaded onto a skewer.

I’m giving myself the day off from both experiments and serious blogging, so I leave you with this Reader Participation Exercise™:

What is your favorite artistic treatment of lifespan extension?

Obviously speculative fiction is going to provide the lion’s share of answers — I can think of a dozen good novels and short stories that address some aspect of the issue — but I’m also interested in visual art, poetry, and (per the title of this post) even song.

If you have a favorite to share, drop us a comment.
