I just discovered a quarterly journal devoted to the biology of aging: Zeitschrift für Gerontologie und Geriatrie. The articles are in either English or German, but abstracts are often in both languages. (This pleases me: in my experience, German and biogerontology go hand in hand.)
In the October issue about half of the articles are reviews of potential interest to biogerontologists, on topics that include telomere shortening, mitochondrial mutation, progeroid syndromes and the role of inflammation in aging.
I’ll be keeping an eye on the table of contents, and will summarize here if anything interesting that comes up. (Unfortunately, as with far too many journals, most content is behind a subscription wall, so only those with institutional access can actually see the full articles. 😦 )
