Mitochondrial QC

In a review, Tatsuta and Langer describe the mechanisms of mitochondrial quality control, i.e., how cells keep their mitos in top form and dispose of the ones that have become terminally damaged. In other words, these are the ways that cells preserve mitochondrial function until such time as they’re irreparable and ready for replacement.
